Built my own learning portal for my Financial Engineering degree. Making it open source. 3 lessons into my MScFE at WorldQuant University, and my software engineering instincts kicked in. Instead of reading markdown files in an IDE, I built: ✅ A web interface for all course materials ✅ Interactive quiz mode with instant feedback ✅ Progress tracking and score calculation ✅ Dark mode (because of course) Tech stack: HTML, CSS, vanilla JS. No frameworks. Just `npx serve` and learn. 10 years of software engineering taught me more than coding. It taught me to build systems, recognize patterns, and automate the boring stuff. Compound interest? That's just exponential growth. Bond pricing? Discounted cash flow algorithms. Quiz grading? Instant feedback loops. Engineering thinking applies everywhere. Making it open source for fellow WorldQuant students and anyone learning financial engineering. GitHub link coming soon. Drop a comment if you'd use it. Building tools to learn > just learning. #FinancialEngineering #OpenSource #SoftwareEngineering #LearningInPublic #FinTech #MScFE
