Building in Public: A Week Into My Financial Engineering Journey and i need a Co-Founder

A week into the Financial Engineering programme at @WorldQuant University (WQU), and I've already gained a startup idea I hope to bring to life over the next two years.

The Idea:
Combining my 10 years of experience as a software engineer with the financial engineering concepts I'm learning, I'm building a platform that I hope will be useful to every range of finance people—from students just starting their journey to professionals working in investment banks and hedge funds.

What I've Built This Week:

Professional Financial Calculators
- Bond Price & Yield-to-Maturity calculator with detailed cash flow breakdowns
- Interest Calculator with 7 calculation modes (FV, PV, Rate, Time, Compounding Comparison, Real vs Nominal, Forward Rates)
- Real-time calculations with step-by-step visualizations

Modern Dashboard
- Clean, professional UI built with modern design principles
- Quick access to frequently used calculators
- Stats tracking and usage analytics

The Vision:
I'm building this in line with my learnings at WorldQuant University, creating a platform that makes professional financial calculations accessible to everyone. The tools professionals use are often too expensive. The tools students use are too basic. I'm building the bridge.

Why This Matters:
Financial literacy is a global challenge. By combining rigorous financial engineering education with practical software engineering experience, I believe we can create tools that serve both students learning finance and professionals who need enterprise-grade solutions.
