So I was thinking and I decided to drop a little piece here
As a developer, especially a junior or still learning. If you get an opportunity to take a gig or job role you're not familiar with, take it. Don't feel like you can't build that project because it's too complex. The only reason why it's too complex is simply because you haven't built it before.
Before last year I had only built, a movie & comics download web app, landing pages, inventory management, e-commerce and logistics web applications as well as contributing to other projects by building some features here and there.
Last year I got a job for a company that handles tech services for organisations like MTN, Airtel, Alpha Morgan Bank, Rand Merchant Bank, etc. My very first task was to design and develop a document approval workflow application for a bank using a framework I had never heard of. I was put in a position where I couldn't say no so I did the task and in 6 weeks the application was deployed. Now Document Approval Workflows using SPFx don't scare me, I can build them in less than two weeks now depending on the complexity. After a few months there I was entrusted with managing some legacy projects for MTN.
Lesson here is, you only feel the task is too hard because you haven't done it before. Always try. If you're stuck, ask questions. If you fail study why you failed and go again
Happy coding guys 👋
